Day visitors are invited to join us at FARMHOUSE58 to indulge in a day of relaxation, exploration and nourishment.

Begin the day’s gentle adventure with an Overland shuttle up onto the Farmhouse58 site. Engage in a walkabout of the Agri-Gardens with our resident farmer who will gladly explain the various principles that promote the well-being of soil.
Guests will then enjoy a picnic lunch on the lawns prepared from our restaurant THE SHED and elegant hydration courtesy of THE LAPA.

Discover our FARM in the VELD initiative. A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project on the kopjes of the Cradle of Humankind, in the Kromdraai Valley, where regenerative soil is fed by crisp mountain springs, waterfalls and rills from ancient geological formations. FARM in the VELD farms bio-diverse vegetables, fruits, herbs, medicinals and infusions using ethical regenerative practices, free from pesticides, for use in the seasonal menus of our partner restaurants ‘And Then There Was Fire…’ and ‘THE SHED’ at Farmhouse58. Depart from your day visit with a seasonal box of vegetables, filled with fresh produce from the garden.

Subscriptions are available for weekly distribution of seasonal veggie boxes, Cradle honey and olive oil, produced and harvested with the utmost care.

Should you wish, extend your experience with a slow walk to the waterfall or a contemplative stroll through the 173 hectares of open Highveld landscape.
